Building Diversity

Material: pencil and oil on mylar
31 1/4" × 32 3/8"

I am a Toronto-based multi-disciplinary Artist, using painting, installation, photography, and performance in my work.

A common linking thread is the exploration of the use, history and ownership of public space. From painting 24 Coffee Time locations in 24 hours, to visiting every subway station in a single day, my work offers up a unique perspective on a day in the
life of Toronto.

Building Diversity is a grouping together of random Toronto buildings inspired from the images of local photographers posted on the Flickr website. The buildings are from across the city. Some of them are better known than others — some you may even recognize. Some are small structures while others house hundreds of families. Shelter comes in an infinite variety of shapes, sizes and styles. It's purpose however is universal: a basic necessity of every Torontonian.
