About the Work
Overgrown trees and shrubs preserve and protect one of the many hidden dwellings that still sits preserved on my family’s land, land they settled over 150 years ago in Northern Ireland. Everything in life needs some form of shelter to protect, preserve and cover, but sometimes it is not only a shelter that shelters us.
About the Artist
Michelle Davey r.g.d. was born and raised in London, Ontario, where she attended a high school for the arts. Moving to Toronto, she earned her Graphic Design diploma from George Brown College. Currently employed at Grip Limited, she now leads an exciting life in advertising. Michelle applies her energy not only to her career, but also to her community, where she is a very active volunteer. Continuously inspired by the world around her, Michelle believes that collaborating and sharing with others is very important, and, as a designer, it is her responsibility to inspire others.
