About the Work
The women in Imagination represent the multicultural unity of the poor.
About the Artist
Ann Smart came to Canada from Trinidad for a better life but ended up living in poverty. Her aim is to build houses for the poor, but without the money to build these houses she instead paints houses and gives the gift of her imagination.
