About the Artist
Stephen Cruise was born in Montréal in 1949 and lives and works in Willowdale. He was a founding member of A Space Gallery, Toronto.
Stephen has exhibited in over 30 solo shows and over 50 group exhibitions both locally, nationally and internationally including: the National Gallery of Canada; Art Gallery of Ontario; City of Windsor; University of Calgary; City of Toronto; and Art Bank, Ottawa.
Selected public art commissions include: indigena domain, City Hall, Cambridge; a Path a Muse taken, Parc Trudeau Park, Toronto; Vessel, Manulife Recreation Centre, Waterloo; after/before, Don Mills Station, Sheppard Subway, Toronto; one hundred linksone chain, Gibson Park, North York; Places in a book (6 chapters), Spadina LRT, Pole Colonnade, Toronto.
