An ambiguous work, mortise and tenon is an abstract unexplicit landscape. A work of fiction that is simple yet complex.
About the Artist
Michele Lucas graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UBC Okanagan. She recently relocated to Ontario where she continues her painting practise in a studio overlooking Lake Ontario.
Michele's latest work explores her fascination with her environment. Incorporating hydro towers, freighters and industrial elements she paints visual narratives that seem to evoke rather than depict. Her work has been described as happy, playful and lyrical.
