Talya Moshinsky

Sheltered (2006)

acrylic paint on canvas

About the Work

The womb is an ideal shelter. As a place of warmth, protection, sustenance and growth, it fulfills our earliest needs. As we go out into the world, we try to recapture that feeling of comfort: in our relationships with others, in our connection to ourselves and in the places we call 'home.'

About the Artist

Talya Moshinsky is a freelance graphic designer who enjoys the challenge of giving ideas a visual representation. While her postsecondary education from Seneca College and York University focused on design and mass communication, Talya has always been a student of fine arts - her love of painting began as soon as she could hold a brush. Talya's medium of choice is acrylics, often with a subject matter leaning toward strong, fiery women. Her work appears in private collections.
