for Andy
fold-formed bronze, waxed and knotted Japanese cotton cord
About the Work
Landscape is 'home' - we feel it when a familar landmark appears around a bend in the road, or is revealed over the next hill. My work as a metalsmith is marked by strong connections to landscape, as is the work of Andy Goldsworthy, an environmental artist I greatly admire. for Andy is my homage to his signature cairns that mark landscapes from Scotland to California.
