About the Work
Room for Everyone marries the whimsy of a pair of blue jeans as a home with the need to house rich, poor and everyone in between in ways that are respectful, invigorating and even fun. The images are dreamscapes - collages created by marrying various pictures from my random collection of magazines. The whole piece is a celebration of things which delight and inspire me, including the under-lying political theme of needing to find housing for everyone.
About the Artist
Peter French is an artist, designer and educator working in both traditional and digital media. Educated in photography, fine art and design he spent twenty plus years in ad agencies and design studios before becoming a fulltime digital media teacher. His work is informed by his love of materials, the power of photography and imagery and by the need to find beauty and delight in the world around us.
