Sidewalk Fetal (2007)

house paint on paper

About the Work

Sidewalk Fetal takes this year's theme of 'Shelter' to its most basic form. The fetal position being the last real shelter option for someone who finds themselves left with nothing and nobody and nowhere to go. Free samples of expensive house paints are used to pixelate the image in a style similar to the digital pixelation used to conceal information on a television screen - symbolizing the general public's ability to ignore the homeless at their feet.
