About the Work
For me, the act of making a photograph operates as a departure point for artistic experimentation. Through my work, I am interested in making art accessible to the general public by investigating the use of unconventional exhibition space. My main artistic interests lie in preserving traditional photo technologies while exploring and pushing artistic development into digital forms of photography.
I enjoy roller coasters, traveling and the occasional Slurpie.
About the Artist
Jennifer Bedford is an emerging photobased artist who has been actively dedicated to building her artistic ability and photographic skill for over ten years. In 2004, she received an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University with a combined degree in Multimedia and Visual Art. Jennifer also studied Applied Photography at Sheridan College. Her documentation photographs have recently been published in Border Crossings magazine and in several Canadian exhibition catalogues. Jennifer currently holds the position of Marketing Coordinator at the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery.
