Design Hope
Design Hope Toronto is a volunteer initiative that raises funds and awareness for local organizations dedicated to helping the homeless.
We invite artists to create one-of-a-kind artworks inspired by the idea of "shelter." These pieces are then auctioned and raffled off at our annual event with all of the proceeds going to one of the many deserving homeless programs in Toronto.
We are also seeking corporate sponsors, cash donations and volunteers in our quest to help the homeless.
Design Hope Toronto is based on and shares the goals of the original Design Hope, which began in Hamilton in 2001.

Winter is fast approaching, which means it's time to find our artists for next spring.
If you are interested in creating art to help raise money and awareness for the homeless, please see our artists specification/sign-up sheet below. You have between November 18 and December 2, 2011 to submit the form in order for your art to be featured in Design Hope Toronto's 2012 event.

If accepted, you will have three months to create your one-of-a-kind work of art. The artwork will then be displayed on our website and at the event before being auctioned or raffled at our annual gala.
Design Hope Toronto will be donating the event's proceeds to the Parkdale Activity-Recreation Centre (PARC). For the past three years, Design Hope has helped raise money for PARC to help develop Edmond Place, a state-of-the-art affordable housing complex for people with mental health issues.
Acceptance will be based primarily on the order of submission, with priority given to new contributors. Acceptance will also be based on ensuring that we have a balanced and representative cross-section of media.
If more artists are interested than there are spots available, they will be placed on a priority list for the following year's event.

»Design Hope Toronto 2012
Our 2012 event will take place on Friday April 13, 2012. Despite the unlucky date, we will again venture to raise a lot of money for PARC and Edmond Place. As with our last 3 events, we will be hosting our auction/raffle night at St. John's Parish Hall on Cowan Ave. in Parkdale. Check back here often for more information as we get closer to our 2012 gala night.
